BRISE HOUSE

A large wood brise-soleil wraps the entire house, filtering sunlight and allowing vertical vegetation to gradually take over the façade. Over time, this green layer softens the building's presence and improves microclimatic performance, changing the house's thermal behavior across the seasons. Green roofs, internal courtyards, and framed visual connections repeat this logic throughout the interior, giving light, vegetation, and shade an active role in the experience of each space.

The materiality reinforces this balance: natural wood, mineral surfaces, and textured stone bring warmth and a sense of permanence, chosen also for their ability to age well over time. In the private areas, the architecture steps back in favor of protected green pockets, with filtered light and quiet guiding the bedrooms, wellness spaces, and sauna. Passive ventilation and vegetation strategies reduce reliance on mechanical climate control, keeping the house connected to its own microclimate year-round.

The bright clean walls in contrast to the light wood, plants and art make this place feel like “home”, not just a house.
