AREIA HOUSE

At Casa Areia, the original cathedral ceiling was preserved, with exposed wood beams and indirect lighting that marks the ceiling throughout the house. Colors, textures, and decorative elements with a Mediterranean reference were added to that original design, appearing in the suites and bathrooms with the same rustic, comfortable line.

The outdoor expansion attached a large pergola to the original structure, with a bamboo slat ceiling and skylights that bring natural light into the gourmet area, the living room, the fire room, and the spa. The gneiss stone flooring, the burnt wood counters made with the Shou Sugi Ban technique, and the two-tone natural stone pool complete this rustic palette that runs through the entire house.
The expansion of the outdoor area became the main focus of the project. By adding a large pergola integrated into the house, we created new spaces dedicated to socializing, leisure, and well-being, connecting the gourmet area, living room, spa, and fire pit room in a seamless experience. The result is a residence that combines the relaxed spirit of the Brazilian coast with the natural elegance of Mediterranean retreats.
