Guanabara Apt.

The neutral base in warm tones and natural wood was chosen so the view of Guanabara Bay and Christ the Redeemer could take the central role in the rooms. The custom-designed home office hides a chroma key system built into the ceiling, remotely activated and completely invisible when not in use. A dedicated technical area concentrates all the residence's digital infrastructure, treated as part of the design rather than an add-on.

A custom-built shelving unit connects strategic points of the home office and lets the owner's cat move safely between them, following the city view from different heights. The lighting, designed by Maneco Quinderé Associados, is mostly indirect, highlighting materials and textures without competing with the natural light that enters through the apartment's expanded openings.
Developed for a client passionate about technology, the project incorporated highly personalized solutions, such as a home office designed to accommodate a complex digital infrastructure without sacrificing organization and aesthetics. Each space was conceived to reflect her lifestyle, balancing functionality, well-being, and privacy in a residence that authentically and sophisticatedly translates her personality.

Based on our client's wishes - it was clear throughout the entire process we will use only organic materials.

The bright clean walls in contrast to the light wood, plants and art make this place feel like “home”, not just a house.
