In solid Roman travertine, the Wave sideboard grows out of a wave pattern designed to repeat without becoming geometric, keeping a fluid line across both the door and the base of the piece. At 570 cm long, the mold had to account for the weight of the solid stone, resulting in a single piece where door and base follow the same continuous movement.
